Krzysztof Soszynski fighting Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC on FX 6

It wasn’t long ago UFC light heavyweight Krzysztof Soszynski indicated he was deciding to hang up his gloves after a nine-year career filled with a number of highs and lows. Soszynski, who had won back-to-back bouts entering a December meeting with Igor Pokrajac, ate a punch early on and was pounded out before the first minute of their match-up had expired.

However, it looks like “The Polish Experiment” isn’t ready to walk away from the sport just yet and has agreed to battle Brazilian Ednaldo Oliveira on December 14 at UFC on FX 6. The show is set for Sydney, Australia and features Rousimar Palhares-Hector Lombard in the main event.

Soszynski holds an overall record of 26-12-1 including notable victories of Mike Massenzio, Stephan Bonnar, and Brian Stann. 21 of his triumphs have involved some form of finish with a beautiful balance between those coming by way of strikes and those by submission.

Comparably, Oliveira will be making his 205-pound debut after struggling as a heavyweight against Gabriel Gonzaga in his Octagon unveiling. The 13-1-1 Oliveira suffered his only career loss in the bout, scoring eight TKOs in his thirteen wins prior to the stumble.
