After stringing together five wins inside the Strikeforce cage and amassing a sterling 15-0 professional record, Lyle Beerbohm fell on hard times with back-to-back losses against Pat Healy and Shinya Aoki in 2011, essentially being bounced from the promotion. “Fancy Pants” has rebounded nicely, putting together a four-fight win-streak and finding a new home in the upstart-promotion World Series of Fighting. Now standing at 19-2, the Washington native’s most recent run includes a victory over UFC veteran Marcus Aurelio.
The WSOF is scheduled to make its debut on November 3 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The event’s main card will air live on NBC Sports Network, formerly Versus. It still remains unclear as to whether or not Beerbohm will debut on the card, which is set to be headlined by former WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres’ promotional debut.
