Even though the Ultimate Fighter 16 won’t hit the airwaves for another week the UFC is already working on the next season starting with the audition process. While coaches haven’t surfaced yet for the two opposing squads, the company has at least confirmed the divisions duking it out on the show when it debuts in 2013.
According to an official press release from the UFC, middleweights and light heavyweights are encouraged to descend on Las Vegas on September 17 if interested in throwing their names in the proverbial TUF 17 hat. Contestants are also required to have at least three professional fights as well as a winning record and legitimate verification of both.
The upcoming offering will be the first season to feature middleweights since Court McGee came out with his hand raised in the end on the Ultimate Fighter 11 and first with 205ers since Ryan Bader’s emergence as a title-contender on TUF 8.
