Bellator 76 will take place October 12 live from Caesars Windsor Resort and Casino in Windsor, Ontario. The card will mark the final Bellator fight of former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez against an opponent yet to be determined. MMAJunkie confirmed the earlier reports of Alvarez’s involvement but also gathered the location and venue of the event from Bellator officials.
The card will likely also host the beginning of one of Bellator’s fall tournaments, though at this time that has yet to be announced.
The card is expected to draw a lot of interest from UFC officials as they have expressed an interest in signing the former Bellator lightweight champion. Alvarez was spotted sitting next to UFC President Dana White at UFC on Fox 3 this past May, further fueling rumors that Alvarez is looking to join the UFC roster at the completion of his current deal.
