A late bout has been added to the UFC’s return to FOX on August 4 in the form of a match-up between Top 5 flyweight Ian McCall and newcomer John Moraga. The match-up completes a lineup already featuring a number of interesting fights including Joe Lauzon-Jamie Varner, Travis Browne-Ben Rothwell, Lyoto Machida-Ryan Bader, and Mauricio Rua-Brandon Vera.
UFC officials have confirmed the McCall-Moraga clash.
McCall was one of four 125-pounders pegged for a tournament to determine the UFC’s first divisional champion. Though he ultimately lost his semifinal scrap with Demetrious Johnson, McCall’s talent and technique were on display throughout. He holds an overall record of 11-3-1 with seven stoppages.
