Anthony Johnson, Braulio Estima look sharp in stoppages at Titan FC 24

After struggling to make the welterweight and middleweight limits, it looks like Anthony Johnson’s decision to give light heavyweight a go was the right one with his debut performance proving to be far easier than shedding pounds have been for the hard-hitting 28-year old in past instances. Last night, “Rumble” took to the Titan FC ring for the second time since being cut by the UFC and for the first time at 205 pounds, scoring a strike-based stoppage over opponent Esteves Jones in relatively dominant fashion.

The victory, which came in the second round as a result of ground and pound, improved Johnson’s overall record to 12-4 and was his eighth TKO.

Titan FC 24 also featured decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist Braulio Estima’s professional unveiling. Estima, an ADCC champion, showed exactly why his grappling game is feared by putting Chris Holland to sleep in the first frame with an Arm-Triangle Choke.
