Recent UFC featherweight title challenger Chad Mendes has been charged with battery stemming from a July 29 incident at a bar in Hanford, Calif. The Kings County (Calif.) District Attorney's Office announced Friday it'll seek the charge, which carries a possible $2,000 fine and up to six months in county jail.
According to the Hanford Sentinel, Kings County Sheriff's deputies say Mendes "sucker punched a man in the face" at a local bar during the July incident.
